π is an irrational number. That means it's never ending, and ever more unpredictable.
The digits of π appear to be randomly distributed;
however, to date, no proof of this has been discovered.
So, if you've got some spare time,
do us mathematicians a favour and bang your head for this proof!
Most mathematicians think the digits of π contain every conceivable finite sequence of numbers. Even your DNA sequence could be found down the line! No kidding.
An even more crazier idea is to ask whether π contains itself?
Most recently, after 207 days of sleepless nights, a machine calculated the value of π upto 13,300,000,000,000 decimal places. It took another 182 days to check that the computed value is correct!
Well, if we have formulas to generate digits of π, how is it truly random?
